Case: Adenocarcinoma

HIDE
PrevNext

0:01

So here is a patient with adenocarcinoma

0:04

of the left upper lobe, as you can see,

0:06

so pretty o obvious mass there with aleiss.

0:11

So we see this obvious mass within the left upper lobe

0:13

with associated left upper lobe aleiss,

0:15

taking out the left upper lobe bronchus.

0:17

But then the rest of the lungs we see

0:21

innumerable pulmonary nodules.

0:23

And these are random nodules.

0:25

They're tropic nodules, clearly subpleural involvement,

0:28

clearly some involvement along the fissures

0:31

and they are truly entropic.

0:34

Some are closer together, some are further apart as we

0:37

see in many cases of metastatic disease to the lungs.

0:41

Uh, some nodules are smaller, some are bigger,

0:44

they're variable sizes.

0:45

This is just classic example of lung cancer.

0:49

In this case, an adenocarcinoma

0:51

with diffuse hematologist metastases to the lungs

0:56

also know the small left pleural fusion

0:58

and small pericardial effusion.

1:00

So these are all suspicious in this disease setting.
