Case: LAM with Right Pleural Thickening

0:00

So here is a beautiful case of Lymphangitis Mytosis.

0:04

So the first thing is she's a woman.

0:06

And so Lymphangitis mytosis really like it's a disease.

0:09

You should only be considering women.

0:11

There are case reports of men who get lam like,

0:14

like maybe an underlying tube sclerosis.

0:16

But from a practical standpoint, if it's not a woman,

0:20

lamb should not be coming out of your mouth, right?

0:23

'cause like most of your cases you're gonna see clinically

0:25

are not gonna be case reportable.

0:28

And so this is a case where, sure,

0:30

it's diffused all throughout the lungs,

0:31

but you can tell that there is a base or predominance.

0:34

But I had never seen a case of bird hug debate

0:37

or lymphocytic interstitial pum pneumonitis

0:39

give you this many cysts.

0:41

When you see this plethora of cysts, these pretty oval

0:44

and round cysts, almost always in my experience,

0:46

it's gonna be Liang mitosis, especially if it's in a woman.

0:50

So pretty classic case here.

0:52

And so what do we, we also wanna look forward,

0:53

we wanna look at the upper abdomen,

0:54

make sure there's no angio lipoma.

0:56

Lipomas. I don't think this patient had it.

0:58

I, and like here, we only get to the liver.

1:00

It's really hard to say, remember these patients

1:05

with lymphangitis mitosis, they're also predisposed

1:08

to developing kyli pleural effusions, right?

1:11

So perhaps this moves maybe a healed Chis pleural fusion now

1:14

giving us pleural thickening

1:16

and also the, uh, secondary pneumothoraces.
