Course Description

Dr. Jonathan Chung provides a comprehensive overview of the principles and practice of high-resolution CT (HRCT) interpretation, emphasizing a pattern-based approach to assessing interstitial lung disease (ILD). This course will reinforce essential diagnostic concepts and enhance confidence in evaluating diffuse lung abnormalities.

Take this course to improve your ability to recognize and characterize interstitial lung disease on HRCT. Follow along as Dr. Chung reviews the fundamentals of HRCT technique, explores key fibrotic patterns including usual interstitial pneumonia (UIP), and guides learners through the diagnostic approach to nodular, cystic, and fibrotic lung diseases.

Learn to apply a structured, pattern-based framework for interpreting HRCT, improve accuracy in ILD assessment, and build confidence in diagnosing pulmonary fibrosis, interstitial lung abnormalities (ILA), and progressive pulmonary fibrosis (PPF).

Read alongside Dr. Chung as he walks through his approach to interpreting interstitial lung disease imaging cases like:

  • Fibrotic HP (hypersensitivity pneumonitis)
  • Classic UIP
  • NSIP in Systemic Sclerosis (SSc)
  • Fibrotic Sarcoidosis with Perilymphatic Nodularity
  • Birt‑Hogg‑Dubé (BHD)
  • Pulmonary Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis (PLCH)
  • Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM)
  • Lymphocytic Interstitial Pneumonia (LIP)
  • …and more!

Optimize your learning:

  • Test Yourself - Before starting the video, launch the DICOM study and complete your independent review of the case in our diagnostic web viewer.
  • Review at your own pace - Reminder to utilize the video player features to speed up or slow down the video, pause or rewind to best fit your available time and learning needs.
  • Read alongside Dr. Chung - Keep the DICOM study open while you watch Dr. Chung review the cases. We suggest popping the DICOM viewer open in a new window and viewing side by side with the video on your screen.
