Okay, thanks for, uh,
0:02
your attention today in the, in the course.
0:04
And, uh, it's been a great opportunity to share some
0:07
of my knowledge, uh, and experience, uh, on these issues.
0:12
Uh, cardiac MR with an ischemic heart disease with you.
0:15
I hope you found it useful.
0:16
Just a few take home points that I think are important to,
0:20
uh, highlight as we wrap up.
0:22
Uh, first I think we've shown nicely
0:24
that cardiac MR can be used to diagnose
0:27
numerous things related to, uh, ischemic heart disease,
0:30
including myocardial viability, uh,
0:32
acute myocardial infarctions,
0:33
and other causes of acute chest pain.
0:35
And then also ischemia related to coronary artery disease,
0:39
as you hopefully also have appreciated.
0:41
CA imaging for wall motion assessment
0:43
and LG imaging are key sequences
0:45
for cardiac MR evaluation of ischemic heart disease.
0:47
So these are kind of your workhorse sequences
0:49
and really where you're gonna spend the bulk of your time,
0:53
um, evaluating, uh, patients
0:55
with potential infarcts or ischemia.
0:57
Classic coronary artery disease is not always the cause
1:00
of acute chest pain in mono cardio infarction.
1:02
And we saw several examples throughout the, uh, the course,
1:06
uh, of cases of myocarditis
1:08
or TAs cardiomyopathy where, you know,
1:11
these are causes of chest pain.
1:12
We talked a lot about manca, uh,
1:14
and that being a, you know, some, a key differential kind
1:17
of bucket to try to lump, uh, some disease findings into.
1:21
And so just keep in mind that, uh, there are other things
1:24
that we have to think about, uh,
1:25
when you're looking at patients, uh, uh, with chest pain.
1:29
And finally, there's very strong evidence supporting cardiac
1:32
mr chest perfusion for evaluation of myocardial ischemia.
1:35
And most recent chest pa chest pain guidelines have
1:38
certainly supported, uh, the use of this technique.
1:40
And so, uh, for those of you who are new to cardiac mr
1:44
or just learning, uh, uh,
1:46
while this is a slightly more advanced technique in terms
1:48
of the setup and the operations,
1:50
it's really worth investing time trying to learn how
1:53
to understand and implement these
1:54
'cause it can benefit your patients, uh, in your practice.
1:58
Uh, the other nice thing about doing stress fusion cardiac
2:01
MRIs, as we've seen several times, cardiac
2:04
m mr as a one-stop shop.
2:05
So not only do you get information about ischemia,
2:07
but you get really accurate functional assessment.
2:10
And then you can do more advanced tissue characterization,
2:13
uh, including, you know, a edema evaluation
2:16
with T two mapping or T two weighted imaging,
2:18
but even other approaches that we didn't talk about today,
2:20
like, uh, looking for non causes,
2:22
non ischemic cardiomyopathy,
2:24
T one mapping, those sorts of things.
2:26
Thank you.
