And today I'm gonna talk to you about, um,

use of CT for transcatheter aortic valve replacement assessment.

Um, and, um, this is a really important topic. Um, TAVR is a,

um, treatment that really came onto the scene maybe 10,

15 years ago and has been growing, uh, really, really fast.

Um, it, it's an important way to treat patients with aortic stenosis, um,

which is a really common disease. And we, uh,

as radiologists and cardiac images play a really important role, um,

in helping get these patients evaluated for a potential tavr.

Um, so I'm gonna go, uh, during this course,

I'm gonna talk about all the different, um,

measurements that are important for setting up the TAVR scan and also

determining whether or not a person can in fact get the TAVR device. Uh,

and then also we're gonna go through, uh, different, um,

complications that may be associated with the TAVR and, um, uh,

how those patients are assessed with imaging as well. Um,

one thing I I really wanna mention here is that, um,

the TAVR evaluation requires, uh, three D software,

uh, and all,

they're all different vendors of all different types of three D software that

can be used to, um, create the TAVR measurements that are necessary to, um, uh,

for sort of pre-procedure assessment. Um,

these vendors all do things a little bit differently.

I'm gonna try to make this course as vendor neutral as possible. Um,

and so I'm going to present things in a way, um,

that should be usable on any type of, uh, software that you have available. Um,
