This is a patient who is post-renal transplant
0:03
had a biopsy due to graph dysfunction and
0:06
now has pain at the biopsy site. We get
0:09
the grayscale image showing a left lower quadrino transplant
0:12
looks pretty okay over here.
0:14
And we see some of the collecting system
0:17
over here something that looks a little bit more rounded over
0:20
here. And certainly they haven't appearance of the collecting system.
0:23
However, when you put color flow on it,
0:26
you can see that this portion of a collecting system does not fill which would
0:29
be appropriate. However, this supposed thing that
0:32
looks like a collecting system actually fills with color. So this is a vascular structure
0:35
or sort of come back to that and a
0:38
little bit as we evaluate the remainder of the kidney itself. We can
0:41
see that structure again over here looks very beautiful. We have
0:44
flow that sort of swirling within it resulting in
0:47
flow going towards the trans use your flow going away
0:50
from the transducer and this appearance is
0:53
the classic yin. Yang appearance you see a
0:56
pseudo and
0:58
All right, if you can find the neck of
1:01
the pseudo aneurysm which in this instance is quite difficult to find if
1:04
you can find it you'll end up seeing flow that goes both above
1:07
and below the Baseline over here due to
1:10
the two and four flow scene within pseudo aneurysms. Now pseudo
1:13
aneurysms are uncommon we end up seeing them and
1:16
the post biopsy setting they're often
1:19
small and asymptomatic you start treated if they
1:22
get enlarged if for whatever reason
1:25
they're causing symptoms if they're of a certain
1:28
size generally above two centimeters you consider treatment,
1:31
but the key thing is to be able to diagnosis and if
1:34
you didn't show Color images on this you may think it's portion of the collecting system
1:37
or assist putting the color images such as
1:40
that diagnosis of a pseudo aneurysm
