Multimodality Imaging of Cholelithiasis, Cholecystectomy, and Complications

Wednesday, November 5th at 12 pm ET

Dan Souza, MD, MSc

GI

GU

Dr. Souza will review the multimodality imaging features of cholelithiasis, cholecystectomy, and related complications. He will highlight key findings across ultrasound, CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine, emphasizing postoperative anatomy and the recognition of complications such as bile leaks and retained stones. Imaging approaches and clinical correlations will also be discussed.

PI-RR: Standardizing Prostate MRI Post-Treatment Reporting

Thursday, November 13th at 12 pm ET

Anup Shetty, MD

GI

GU

In this lecture, Dr. Anup Shetty will provide an overview of the Prostate Imaging for Recurrence Reporting (PI-RR) system, a structured framework designed to create standards for reporting pelvic MRI after radical prostatectomy or radiation for treatment of prostate cancer. Using a similar nomenclature as PI-RADS v2.1, PI-RR uses established knowledge of MRI features of recurrent prostate cancer and codifies it systematically to be accessible to prostate MR readers of all experience levels. Dr. Shetty will cover the key imaging features of recurrence, how these are categorized within the PI-RR system, and approaches for applying the criteria in clinical reporting.

Photon-Counting CT: Physics and Applications

Thursday, November 20th at 12 pm ET

Bari Dane, MD

CT

Physics

In this lecture, Dr. Bari Dane will explore the fundamentals and emerging clinical applications of Photon-counting CT, a transformative advancement in CT imaging technology. Dr. Dane will provide an overview of the underlying physics, how Photon-counting CT differs from conventional CT, and the advantages in spatial resolution, material differentiation, and dose efficiency. Dr. Dane will also highlight current and future clinical uses that demonstrate how photon counting is reshaping diagnostic imaging and patient care.
