At Medality, our mission has always focused on helping radiologists learn and thrive so they can deliver better care for patients. Through case-based, simulated training and education, we support access, equity, and global health by strengthening the skills of the physicians who serve patients every day.

This year, we wanted to push that mission further. Not only by improving how radiologists learn, but by supporting how radiology reaches people who currently cannot access it at all.

That is why we are proud to announce a $5,000 donation to RAD-AID International in support of their work to expand access to medical imaging in low-resource regions around the world.

RAD-AID International’s mission aligns directly with that goal:

“To improve and optimize access to medical imaging and radiology in low resource regions of the world for increasing radiology’s contribution to global public health initiatives and patient care.”

Radiology saves lives, but only when patients have access to imaging, expertise, and early diagnosis. Too many communities lack all three. RAD-AID is changing that through clinical training, technology support, program development, and hands-on volunteering in hospitals across underserved regions.

Why This Partnership Matters

Our team spends every day building tools that strengthen clinical confidence. We also want to help radiology reach patients who currently have no access at all. Supporting RAD-AID is one way we can do that, because their work reflects the heart of radiology: human connection, early detection, and life-changing patient care.

Our Commitment

Each year, our team gathers for our annual all-hands meeting. As we planned this year's event, we wanted to do more than celebrate progress. We wanted to give back to the profession that gives so much to us.

That led us to RAD-AID. Earlier this spring, we began exploring opportunities to support their mission through partnership, volunteer engagement, and fundraising.

At All Hands, that partnership came to life when we welcomed Dr. Daniel Mollura, President and CEO of RAD-AID International, as our featured guest speaker. Hearing firsthand about global radiology access, infrastructure limitations, and the impact of RAD-AID’s programs set the tone for what came next: a dedicated team service activity inspired by his message.

Our $5,000 donation marks the first step in supporting their efforts to expand access to imaging, and we see it as the beginning of a long-term partnership.

Looking Ahead

This contribution reflects a simple belief: radiology education and radiology access are interconnected. From building confidence at the workstation to supporting imaging infrastructure in regions that need it most, we want Medality to help build a more equitable future for patients and providers.

We are energized by what comes next and grateful for the work RAD-AID makes possible every day.

If you would like to learn more about RAD-AID and how you can get involved, keep an eye on our channels. We will continue to share opportunities to support, volunteer, and make a global impact alongside us.

About RAD-AID International

RAD-AID International is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving and expanding radiology services in under-resourced and medically underserved regions of the world. The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that over half of the world’s population has little or no access to medical imaging (radiology), such as x-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy (including diagnostic and interventional radiology), CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, and mammography. To address this worldwide problem, RAD-AID uses a multidisciplinary approach involving infrastructure development, healthcare system expansion, technology innovation, clinical education, and technical training to improve global radiology for delivering vital health services.
