The first “on call” experience can be daunting for any resident in a new emergency department, but it can be particularly challenging in a high-pressure environment like Florida’s. However, by focusing on key objectives such as developing confidence in assessing life-threatening neuro diagnoses, delivering high-quality imaging services, and accurately interpreting imaging cases most commonly seen in emergency care, residents can prepare themselves for success.
