Program Description

As the population ages, Alzheimer’s disease and cognitive decline are becoming increasingly prevalent across healthcare settings. This course equips nurses and other healthcare professionals with essential knowledge of risk factors, clinical presentation, and diagnostic criteria—plus practical tools for communication, pharmacologic and non-drug interventions, and person-centered care planning. This course meets requirements for the one-time Alzheimer’s disease training for nurses and physician assistants in Kentucky. 201 KAR 20:215 and 201 KAR 9:360.
