Program Description

Chronic pain affects millions of Americans, leading to missed work, diminished quality of life, and significant financial burden. This course examines common causes of chronic pain, diagnostic strategies and imaging, and both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment approaches. Participants will explore interprofessional roles in team-based care and learn how to integrate evidence-based strategies for optimal patient outcomes. The course also addresses diversity, equity, and the unique needs of special populations in chronic pain management, equipping healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive, inclusive care.
