Course Description

Join Dr. Elisa Franquet Elia as she covers the fundamentals of PET/CT imaging, its advantages and limitations, and her expert approach to interpreting PET/CT cases.

Start with Dr. Franquet’s in-depth introduction to PET/CT imaging, including a review of acquisition and quality control, commonly used positron-emitting radionuclides, quantification of tracer uptake, and how to read a PET/CT study

Then, follow along with her review of common tracers (FDG, DOTATATE and PSMA), common pitfalls and benign lesions with tracer-specific uptake, and the role of PET/CT in cancer diagnosis, staging and treatment.

Read alongside Dr. Franquet as she walks through her approach to using FDG, DOTATATE and PSMA PET/CT in the evaluation of:

  • Prostate cancer
  • Paraganglioma
  • Hodgkin’s lymphoma
  • Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor
  • Breast cancer staging
  • Aspiration pneumonia
  • …and more!

Optimize your learning:

  • Test Yourself - Before starting the video, launch the DICOM study and complete your independent review of the case in our diagnostic web viewer.
  • Review at your own pace - Reminder to utilize the video player features to speed up or slow down the video, pause or rewind to best fit your available time and learning needs.
  • Read alongside Dr. Franquet - Keep the DICOM study open while you watch Dr. Franquet review the cases. We suggest popping the DICOM viewer open in a new window and viewing side by side with the video on your screen.

Join Dr. Elisa Franquet Elia as she covers the fundamentals of PET/CT imaging, its advantages and limitations, and her expert approach to interpreting PET/CT cases.
