HIDE
PrevNext

0:00

This is a, a 43-year-old, uh, male presenting

0:04

for a palpable abnormality in the right breast.

0:07

Obtain 2D full-field digital

0:09

mammography, uh, in male patients.

0:12

In the right breast, we see, uh, subareolar

0:15

flame-shaped density, uh, which looks

0:18

like a scattered fibroglandular tissue.

0:21

We pull it up and make that a little bit larger.

0:23

You can see that it has the classic imaging

0:25

appearance of dendritic, uh, gynecomastia.

0:28

This is asymmetric from the left-hand side,

0:30

which shows maybe only a very mild or even

0:33

very slight amount of gynecomastia on that

0:36

side, and it's typical in male patients, uh,

0:39

with gynecomastia to have it be asymmetric.

0:42

As this case, we can reassure this

0:46

patient, this is benign gynecomastia, and

0:48

refer him back to his primary physician.
